A then-and-now scene comparing locations in L.A. -- 1992 to 2012

It has been twenty years since a string of riots engulfed Los Angeles, in the wake of the Rodney King incident. To commemorate the anniversary, the L.A. Weekly has posted a series of photos showing scenes of the riot -- and those same locations here in 2012.

It is a very interesting view. Some locations seem to have recovered nicely, while others are still mired in poverty. Be sure to view all of the "then and now" comparisons.
